Domain Names Updates
We are no longer Pushing (manually moving between 2 Enom accounts) the domains. Effective 11/22/2024, we have connected our KartHost Customer Center and the Enom account where your domain names were purchased initially (with SimpleURL). This will save a lot of time.
But because everyone has a New account with us, we do have to tell the system what you purchased and paid for at SimpleURL. We do that by creating an order for the service or domain name (Step 1). We have been able to upload those, but after they were created, we must still manually approve each one and then wait on a few things. See more details in Steps 2 & 3 below.
Step 1: Completed 12/6/2024
Domains are now showing in accounts as Pending Order or Active Order.
Your Domain is showing as Pending (Step 2) Domain names are visible only after you click on the box labeled “Domains” showing Zero. Once we have Accepted the order the count of active domains you own will show Active (Step 3).
Domain Names:
- Pending (Red) Step 2 – Your pending order has been created, and you are in the queue for your domain to be activated in your KartHost account. We are now waiting on the Customer Center to sync with your domain at Enom. Pending Expiration date is 00/00/0000. Pending Next Due date is made up to avoid invoices being created. No access
- Active (Green) Step 3 – Your pending order is approved domain is active, and waits in the queue for hourly sync with Enom. We verify that your expiration and due date have synced correctly, and send your Welcome email. Until the sync happens with Enom your Pending Expiration date is still showing as 00/00/0000. Think of it as the Customer Center talking to Enom about your account. But the activation now allows you access to access and manage your domain name in your account at KartHost Customer Center.
During this process, we do not review, access, or change any settings in the domain name. This is more of an accounting process and no DNS is harmed during the process. (Gail’s joke). Please be patient we are approving thousands of domains.
Warning: Missing “Account Details“, (billing address, phone) the updates or Renewals may Fail. New Orders for sure fail. Please make sure yours are filled in.
Domain name Renewal invoices are created and emailed 35 days before their expiration date. They are due 5 days before the expiration date. If you have a card on file, the invoice will auto-pay on the due date. You can renew early at anytime for the maximum your domain will allow.
No Transfer is needed! Simple Online Solutions will PUSH your domain name out of his account into the KartHost Account and shortly after it will show up in your KartHost Customer Center Account.
If you do not log into your account at the KartHost Customer Center and fill in your Account Details with your billing address or address that Enom views during the push, The Push may FAIL. We should not have those contact fields empty.
The risk to your domain renewal is if we are close to your expiration date before you get back with us and your domain expires before your account is setup correctly. This is one of the reasons we are not jumping in and pushing all the domains at one time. Instead we are pushing One month at a time starting with December 2024 expiration dates.
Should the push fail-
- Your domain name will remain in SOS’s Enom account.
- We will open a new support ticket in your account to notify you why the push failed.
- We will work together with you and SOS to resolve the issues. When completed we will attempt another Push.
- The ticket will be updated with results.
Thanks for being proactive and ensuring your KartHost Customer Center account contains the correct information (your billing address and phone) to avoid that as a reason for a possible failed push.
I apologize for using the word Profile in ANY correspondence instead of the words ‘Account Details’. ~Gail
We are focusing on clients with Email service first. Then starting in November 2024 we will start pushing them to your account. Our Goal is to have all of them completed no later than December 31, 2024.
We will accept special cases to PUSH early. Just open a ticket in your KartHost Customer Center no later than 3 days before Expiry date and provide us with the Domain you would like to PUSH.
And we will do our best coordinating with George at Simple Online Solutions. If it gets to close to the expiration date, you can just renew with Simple Online Solutions. And your domain name will be pushed later in 2024.
Remember to have your Domain Name PUSHED to KartHost from Simple Online Solutions. There is NO CHARGE. But if you still do not wish to have your domain PUSHED to KartHost, make sure to do the following:
– Do Not Set Up your KartHost Customer Center account
– Contact George at Simple Online Solutions, and you can transfer your domain name to any register you like. And plan on doing so by end of year or whatever date George gives you. With that said, we will be sad for you to not experience our excellent service and personal attention.
Whatever Name Servers or Privacy settings you have set now will remain the same. We are NOT changing your Domain Name configuration; we are only pushing your domain(s) from one Enom reseller account to another Enom reseller account. Think of it as a billing address change with no effect on services. It’s all behind the scenes, so to speak.
If you have a expiration date that is close, please open a Support Ticket in your account (fastest). OR send an email to transitions@karthost.com put Subject: Domain Expiring Soon <your domain name>
And give us more info etc.
Billing and Payments
Billing will be handled through your KartHost Customer Center account.
Your first billing cycle at KartHost, we are honoring the pricing you paid at Simple Online Solutions. Your invoice will show KloudEmail’s Basic price with a Promo discount reducing the price to the SOS rate of $5/qtr per email. The promo is valid for the first quarter only.
Pricing for KloudEmail Basic (10/15/2024 pricing) is $2.95 per month for the first mailbox, then $2.35 for each additional mailbox on the same domain.
During this transition, we will only accept major debit/credit cards. MasterCard or Visa debit/credit cards will function just like debit/credit cards.
Moving forward, we plan to offer PayPal and ACH in 2025.
Note: For security reasons, your card is stored in the vault of our card processor, Stripe.
Most products and services, you can choose between Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, and Annual.
For services with recurring billing of less than $10 a month, we will set you up for Quarterly or Annual billing.
For instructions to add a credit/debit Card see our tutorial section and the topic “How to add a credit/debit card to your account”
Yes, anytime you like. Please remember that our automation uses your DEFAULT card to pay invoices. Since you can have multiple cards on file, remember when a new card is added and you want it to be used automatically, make sure to make it the DEFAULT card.
If you are a Texas Resident (billing address has a Texas Address), KartHost must charge Texas Sales Tax (Currently 8.25%).
Texas Sales Tax will be charged for email services, website hosting & related services, and other web IT services we offer.
Sales Tax will NOT be charged for Domain Names or Domain Name IDProtection (Privacy Protection)
KartHost Customer Center will submit your card information to Stripe.com, where it is stored. We do not have access to your full card number, only the last four digits and the expiration date.
Your AutoPayments are made to your invoices because, Stripe stores a token on your KartHost Customer account that will allow us to submit your next invoices to Stipe for payment on the Due Date of your invoice. You do have the option to delete the card on file at anytime in your KartHost Customer Center Account in your Payment Methods. As long as you are making the invoice payments on or before their due dates you will see no disruption of service.
KartHost Customer Center will generate an invoice for your next recurring invoice based on your billing cycle.
We will email a reminder notice 2 days before due date advising you we will be submitting your invoice for payment to your card on file on the due date.
Upon payment of the invoice you will receive another email marked as Paid with the transaction information at the very bottom of the invoice.
All invoices are viewable inside your account at the KartHost Customer Center.
Invoice Creation Schedule (Domains are 30 days before Expiration)
Monthly – 14 days
Quarterly – 15 days
Annually – 30 days (includes Semi-Annually, Biennially)
You will need to set the Auto Renewal Status to OFF. As long as you do this before the due date on the invoice the system will automatically remove it from the invoice.
Here are the steps:
To disable auto-renewal for your domain name on KartHost, log in to your KartHost account, navigate to your domain management section, select the specific domain you want to modify, and then look for the “Auto-Renew” option which you can toggle off to disable automatic renewal.
- Login to KartHost: Access your KartHost account using your credentials.
- Click on Domains in top menu: A resulting drop-down menu will appear and click on “My Domains” Or you can click the box showing “XX DOMAINS”
- Select your domain: Click on the specific domain name you want to change the auto-renewal setting for. (Column-Auto Renew shows if it is Enabled or Disabled)
- You do have the option to sort any column and change View from All Entries to Active, Expired, Canceled
- Click on Auto-Renew (left menu): You can now toggle the Auto-Renew Off.
- Return to My Domains: By either the Domains>My Domains in the top Menu or My Domains in the breadcrumb menu. You will now see domain as Disabled in Auto Renew column.
We do have a KartHost Knowledgebase on this and are working on updating the screenshot to our new theme we added 1st of October.
