Most people now days have a PayPal account for personal transfer of funds from one party to another. This can be very useful, especially if you live a long distance from the party you wish to pay those funds.
However, if you're a business or buying and selling for profit and you wish to use PayPal, you must set up a Business Class PayPal account.
If your sales are, or will be less than $100,000 a month your fees are going to be lower with a Traditional Merchant account on a sale per sale basis. Thus, a Business PayPal account will cost you more as your primary payment processor compared to a Traditional Merchant account.
However, with that said you want to strive to make all your customers happy and make it easy for them to pay you. Not sure of why, but there are people out there that either LOVE PayPal or the ones that absolutely refuse to use PayPal. Either way, if you go with a Traditional Merchant account or prefer to use 2Checkout as your payment processor, it's a good idea to offer the PayPal option to complement your other payment processor. That will make ALL your customers happy. which means more SALES for you!
